In this article, we will explain how to use the bulk actions (or batch actions) of the Woomelly plugin for WordPress. These actions are available in all WooCommerce/WordPress stores and can be seen in the product or order listings. The Woomelly plugin offers various functionalities that you can apply to selected items, allowing you to configure several of them at the same time more quickly.

Before starting: WordPress batch actions

Batch actions or bulk actions in WordPress, as the name suggests, are actions that allow changes to the selected items simultaneously. These actions are usually found in the item listing, whether pages, posts, products, orders, etc.

The Woomelly plugin has its own batch actions applicable to products or orders, and to perform them, the user must follow these simple steps:

  1. Go to the product or order listing in the WooCommerce store.
  2. Select the products or orders you want the actions to affect. It is recommended not to exceed 50 items to prevent server overload.
  3. Then, select the action you want to apply and press the apply button. The bulk actions of Woomelly will be previously indicated.

Done. Once the changes are made, a message will be displayed with the result obtained for each item. Below are the bulk actions available in the Woomelly plugin in the products and orders section.

» Apply “Reset and Send to Trash”

This action resets the connection between the product and the linked publication (if linked) and then sends the product to the trash. It is very useful because, if not used, the product in the trash will remain linked to its publication, which can cause issues with future synchronizations. You can also reset the product and then send it to the trash, but this action speeds up the process.

» Apply “Disconnected” and Apply “Connected”

This action allows modifying the “Skip synchronization” status. If “Disconnected” is applied, the product will be skipped in the next synchronizations. By applying the “Connected” status, the product will be included in the synchronizations again. It is important to note that skipping or not a product in the synchronizations is a completely individual decision.

» Apply “Automatic Categorization”

This functionality allows creating a connection template automatically assigned to a Mercado Libre category, considering the WooCommerce product title. The categorization is done by Mercado Libre, but it still has limitations as it depends on how specified your titles are with all the existing categories in Mercado Libre.

Additionally, in the product listing, you can find some Woomelly filters where you can filter products by the type of action you select. WMetiquetas allows filtering products that have a label with a specific Mercado Libre characteristic. WMestados allows filtering products by a Mercado Libre status they have assigned. WMcódigos allows searching for a product associated with a Mercado Libre publication or variation code.

» Apply “Synchronization from WooCommerce to Mercado Libre” and “Synchronization from Mercado Libre to WooCommerce”

This functionality represents synchronizations by listing and is used to synchronize several products from the store’s product listing. A maximum of fifty (50) products at the same time is recommended for performance reasons of your WooCommerce store. There is also a procedure that allows “re-syncing images“. Basically, it is the same process, but the images are forcibly replaced. Mainly used when there are synchronization errors in the images.

This functionality is used to change the status directly of the Mercado Libre publications of the related WooCommerce products. It is important that the WooCommerce product is connected to a Mercado Libre publication. It applies only to synchronizations from WooCommerce to Mercado Libre and can be used if you want to pause publications in Mercado Libre massively.

» Apply “Remove Shipping Dimensions”

When you synchronize from Mercado Libre to WooCommerce and have the option to bring the publication dimensions active, those dimensions and weights are taken by default from the Mercado Libre categories, as configured. If the product has its dimensions set directly (which is very unusual), this information is prioritized. With this functionality, you can remove all the shipping dimensions data.

With this functionality, the configuration of individual products is eliminated to remain with the connection template configuration. It is mainly used after a synchronization from Mercado Libre to WooCommerce and if you want more control over the information using the connection templates since, by default, the data is fixed directly on the products.

By unlinking a WooCommerce product, only the Mercado Libre publication code and its internal identifiers are removed. However, the rest of the configuration remains intact. This is to resynchronize that same WooCommerce product to Mercado Libre without configuring additional data.

» Apply “Reset”

With this functionality, you can reset WooCommerce products with Mercado Libre. That is, by resetting a WooCommerce product, it loses all the configuration related to Mercado Libre.

» Synchronize with Mercado Libre

This option allows updating the WooCommerce order data with those from Mercado Libre.

» Print Shipping Guides (Mercado Envios)

If you have several orders working with Mercado Envios and want to get a single PDF document with all the guides, you can use this option. It is important to note that the maximum is fifty (50) orders at the same time.

» Apply “Disconnected” and Apply “Connected”

By default, a WooCommerce order is available to be synchronized from WooCommerce to Mercado Libre “connected.” If you want to skip the synchronization of one or several specific orders temporarily or permanently, you can select the “disconnected” status. In this way, it is (they are) omitted in each order update.

» Apply “Reset”

This functionality allows eliminating the connection that the WooCommerce order has with a Mercado Libre order.
