Priority Order of Fields in Woomelly

If you already have products in your WooCommerce store, you only need to take a few preliminary steps to start listing products on Mercado Libre. Otherwise, if you wish to replicate existing listings on Mercado Libre as WooCommerce products, when synchronization is indicated, they will automatically be created in the store.

There is a priority order for the information set in the Woomelly plugin settings. The product detail settings have the highest priority, followed by the connection template settings, and finally, the general settings.

Product Details (high priority) > Connection Template (medium priority) > General Settings (low priority)

Product Details: It has the highest priority in settings and is set directly in the WooCommerce product details.

Connection Template: If no settings have been made directly in the product, the connection template settings will be used. In general, this should be the default setting so that you can more quickly adjust the settings for all products in bulk, rather than entering each product to set a specific configuration.

General Settings: It has the lowest priority in the settings and is set in the advanced settings of the Woomelly plugin. It can be used to generalize a change that applies generally to the store (e.g., price variation or additional images).

Product Types (WooCommerce – Mercado Libre)

WooCommerce Simple Products – Mercado Libre Listings Without Variants

With simple products, you can create listings on Mercado Libre without variants. A listing without variants on Mercado Libre is one that does not require any type of variant or attribute (like color, for example).

Productos WooCommerce Simples – Publicaciones Mercado Libre Sin Variantes

WooCommerce Simple Products – Mercado Libre Listings with a Single Variant

This is only possible if the variant on Mercado Libre represents a single option (like a color). If the Mercado Libre category requires two variants (like size and color), it’s not possible. When there are single variants, the buyer cannot select any of the options when making a purchase.

Productos WooCommerce Simples – Publicaciones Mercado Libre con Variante Única

WooCommerce Variable Products – Mercado Libre Listings with Variants

In the Woomelly plugin, it’s possible to link WooCommerce variants with Mercado Libre variables and synchronize them on both channels. For more information, we recommend consulting the variable product section in the official documentation.

Productos WooCommerce Variable – Publicaciones Mercado Libre con Variantes

WooCommerce Variable Products – Mercado Libre Listings Without Variants

In this case, it can only be applied if the independent (multiple) variables option is activated, which implies creating listings for each product variant.

Productos WooCommerce Variable – Publicaciones Mercado Libre Sin Variantes

Woomelly Fields in Product Detail

Next, we’ll see the different fields that appear in the WooCommerce product details related to Woomelly.

Campos de Woomelly en el detalle del producto

WM Details Tab

This tab details all the fields related to the Mercado Libre listing associated with the WooCommerce product. For example: the current status of the Mercado Libre listing, listing health score (in applicable countries), assigned connection template, custom title and description, listing type, currency, among many others.

» Mercado Libre Listing Status

Displays the actual status of the Mercado Libre listing associated with the WooCommerce product. For Woomelly’s multiple products, this information is inside each variant.

» Publication Quality

Details the quality of the listing on Mercado Libre. This value is set by Mercado Libre, and it is always advisable to have a 100% listing health score. Don’t get confused thinking that the quality of the listings will immediately position them at the top of the marketplace. It’s just a guide that the listing meets the requirements for the Mercado Libre algorithm to correctly compete with all existing listings in the marketplace. However, no guarantees are offered in this regard.

» Connection Template

Field used to assign a connection template (Mercado Libre category) with which that product will be listed on Mercado Libre. Remember, once listed on Mercado Libre, it’s not possible to change the category.

» Availability to Synchronize

Field used to indicate whether the product is available to be considered in synchronizations. This field is typically used when you want to exclude a specific product from synchronizations.

» Mercado Libre Code

This is the code that the tool uses to link WooCommerce products with Mercado Libre listings. It is recommended not to modify it.

» Custom Title

In this field, a custom title can be set that will be sent to Mercado Libre (replacing the WooCommerce product title). Very useful if you want to have a title for the listing different from the WooCommerce product. By default, the product name is assumed as the listing title. However, if a custom title is set, the custom title will be assumed as the product title, not the WooCommerce product title. Remember to avoid these mistakes when naming a listing.

» Custom Description

This field is used to set a custom description and replace the general product description when synchronizing with Mercado Libre. It is highly recommended to set a custom description for the product, especially if you have a code builder that adds a lot of HTML information in the description not allowed on Mercado Libre. Or if you wish to customize this description for the Mercado Libre sales channel.

Remember that Mercado Libre only allows plain text descriptions, with a maximum of 5,000 characters, and that the information does not violate their internal publishing policies, such as external links or seller contact details. Additionally, in this article, we teach you how to create a product description that engages your customers.

» Stock Availability

This field allows you to configure stock availability / delivery time in Mercado Libre listings. We recommend reading: Benefits of using stock availability on Mercado Libre.

» Official Store

This field allows you to add the official store available on Mercado Libre. Currently, you cannot list the same product in multiple official stores, since for Mercado Libre they are two (2) different listings. If this is your case, please write to support for more details. We recommend our article on official stores on Mercado Libre.

» YouTube Video

This field allows you to add a YouTube video to the Mercado Libre listing. At the moment, Mercado Libre only allows adding a YouTube video URL. Do not confuse with the Mercado Libre Videos section.

» Mercado Libre Currency

Like in advanced settings, this field allows you to set the currency for the price of listings on Mercado Libre. If you have a store that handles multiple currencies, it is important to check this information: Compatibility with third-party plugins in Woomelly for WordPress.

» Type of Listing

This field is used to set the type of listing. The values are usually: Free, Classic, or Premium. However, these will depend on the Mercado Libre category and country.

» Sale Condition

This field is used to set the condition of the listing. The values are typically: new, used, or refurbished (learn more).

» Sales Channel (Mercado Libre, Mercado Shops, or both)

This field is used to set the sales channel you want to use to display the Mercado Libre listing. By default, only Mercado Libre is selected. And if you want to synchronize with Mercado Shops, you must first activate this channel from your Mercado Libre account. If you don’t know what Mercado Shops is, we recommend this article: Mercado Shops: Mercado Libre’s online store solution.

» Number of Sales / Number of Views

Number of recorded sales and views of the listing on Mercado Libre. It is important to note that to update the views, the option in advanced settings (total views in listings) must be active.

WM Technical Specifications Tab

In this tab, you will find the technical specifications and attribute-type features requested by Mercado Libre. These fields will depend on the connection template (Mercado Libre category) assigned to the product. Among the most important, we have brand, line, model, universal code, among many others. We recommend our article for more details.

» Fields for Mercado Libre Technical Specifications

These options vary depending on the Mercado Libre category. However, in each of the fields, you can set the data for the Mercado Libre technical specifications.

» Mercado Libre Features ID

This field is used to assign the unique variation identification (ID) of Mercado Libre. It only applies to Mercado Libre categories that require it.

» Mercado Libre Feature

This field is used to enter the unique variation of Mercado Libre. It only applies to Mercado Libre categories that require it.

WM Shipping Tab

This tab allows you to configure the available setting to place a listing with or without shipping. As well as the shipping cost in case free shipping is used in the listing.

» Shipping Cost (Mercado Envíos)

Information about the shipping cost you will see as a seller when working with Free Mercado Envíos. Remember that the shipping cost is set by Mercado Libre, taking into account the category of the listing and the location of the buyer compared to the seller’s address (from the linked account).

» Pick up in Person (local pickup)

This field is used to determine whether or not the listing should offer the option for the buyer to pick up in person. The seller’s location is taken into account when activating this option.

» Free Shipping

This field is used to determine whether or not to offer free shipping on the Mercado Libre listing. Remember, free shipping on Mercado Libre is mandatory depending on the product’s price.

» Mercado Envíos Flex

This field is used to determine whether you want to activate Mercado Envíos Flex on the Mercado Libre listing. It’s only available in certain countries. It’s important to note that it will only be active when the system validates the logistics of the Mercado Libre account under Advanced Settings > General Synchronization. In addition, WooCommerce products must have Mercado Libre listings with the “new” condition and not use stock availability (delivery time). If you want to know more about Mercado Envíos Flex, we recommend this article.

» Shipping Mode

In this field, you can select the shipping method that will depend on the assigned category (Mercado Libre). Among the options are:

» Format for custom shipping costs

This field only applies when working with custom shipments on Mercado Libre. The format is as follows:

Shipping Text = Cost. *Text only allows 120 characters and the currency (Cost) is in local currency. For example: DHL=1000, Mail=90

WM Warranty Tab

This tab is used to indicate the type of warranty for Mercado Libre listings (for reference). Remember that this warranty is informative and does not affect the guarantee policies directly offered by Mercado Libre. If you want to know more about Mercado Libre’s protected purchases, we recommend this article.

» Warranty

This field is used to place a plain text warranty and will be displayed in the description of your listing if you use the {product_warranty} tag. See: Woomelly » Advanced Settings » WooCommerce to Mercado Libre Synchronization.

» Factory Warranty

You can place the factory warranty for the Mercado Libre listing (with the options allowed by the marketplace).

» Seller’s Warranty

You can place the seller’s warranty for the Mercado Libre listing (with the options allowed by the marketplace). This has a higher priority over the factory warranty.

WM Images Tab

In this tab, you can place custom images that will only be sent to Mercado Libre (optional). This way, you can have some images for WooCommerce and others for Mercado Libre. For variable WooCommerce products, this option is found within each variation. It’s important to note that additional images from the connection template and/or advanced settings are also added. Remember to comply with Mercado Libre’s listing policies for images.

WM Classifieds Tab

In this tab, you will find all the available options to publish on Mercado Libre, classified listings: services, vehicles, and real estate. It’s important to note that this type of listing requires manual payment from the seller directly from the Mercado Libre platform.

» Seller’s Location

In these fields, you enter information about the listing’s location.

» Seller’s Contact

In these fields, you enter information about the listing’s seller with the intention for the buyer to contact them.

WM Communication Tab

In this tab, you can set up an automatic post-sale message directly for this product when a sale occurs on Mercado Libre. It’s important that the post-sale message module of the Woomelly plugin is active.

» How to send the message

In this field, you define whether you want to replace the general post-sale message with a personalized message (set in this section). Or if you put the information as a label to be included in the general message.

» Message to send

This field is used to set the post-sale message (plain text) to send.

Multiple Products and WooCommerce Variable Products

Multiple products in Woomelly have two (2) important characteristics: the WooCommerce product must be variable and the option in the connection template must also be activated. All the configuration of multiple products is usually established in the details of each variation. For more information, we recommend consulting the multiple products section in the official documentation.

For WooCommerce variable products, it’s necessary to enter each of the variations to establish the relationship between the WooCommerce attributes and the Mercado Libre variables. It’s also possible to set this configuration from the connection template. For more information, we recommend consulting the section on linking WooCommerce attributes with Mercado Libre attributes in the official documentation.
